Jocelyn Lee Shoopman, owner and Head Chef of iPastries, realized her passion for baking at an early age. She knew that creating fine baked goods was going to be her life's work. Jocelyn attended college in Hawaii, majoring in commercial baking. After school she was hired by the Marriott Corporation as a pastry supervisor. Her talents were recognized immediately and she was asked to become the Pastry Chef at a new Marriott hotel in Irvine, California. During her 25 year career with the Marriott Corporation she earned the title of Executive Pastry Chef and spent her remaining years at Marriott Desert Springs, in Palm Desert, California. Jocelyn excelled throughout her career, developing recipes, conducting baking training programs, and establishing quality control standards. Jocelyn has received many awards in recognition of her culinary talents and dedication to career long advancement of her baking abilities.
